About Spotlight

We are excited to introduce a new performance-based team as part of our Studio b Dance Team!  Spotlight is a great opportunity for dancers who may be interested in the Competition team in the future. Interested dancers will get to experience a more focused dance class to help them achieve future dance goals. Dancers interested should have great class attendance & etiquette as well as have some prior dance experience. Not only will these dancers have a ton of fun, they will also gain valuable life experiences like how to work through nerves in front of an audience and how to work in a team environment.

Age/Requirements

Spotlight dancers are ages 7+ with some prior dance experience.

Commitment

• Summer 2-day camp

• Weekly class during fall and spring sessions that includes technique and choreography

• Weekly ballet class during fall and spring sessions

Performances

Planned Spotlight team performances include our Team Competition Preview and May recital. Other community opportunities may include the Lafayette Christmas Parade, Purdue basketball game, etc. The tentative performance schedule and expectations are subject to change.

Competition

Spotlight dancers will represent Studio b at one spring competition.

​

Audition Information

Dancers will audition and be placed in their performance groups. Auditions were held May 31 - June 2 for the 2022-2023 season.
