To inspire is to fill others with the spirit to do something. I have been inspired by so many people in my life. Each person has compelled me to keep moving forward, keep dreaming, keep learning every day, and most importantly keep SMILING! In honor of those people in my life, I choose to b • inspiring to others as well as maintain the humility to continue to b•inspired. You never know how and when you could make a difference in someone’s life, so I want to make sure those opportunities create a positive difference.
Why do you teach fitness?
I was privileged to have some amazing instructors to inspire and motivate me on my road to living a healthy lifestyle, so I wanted to pay it forward and take on the new challenge of leading classes. I remember teaching my first class. I had made myself so sick with nerves. I was shaking with fear, but the class participants calmed me down with their reassuring smiles. I survived, and I am still teaching thanks to them!
When did you begin teaching?
I was first certified to teach Zumba in January 2010. Time sure flies when you're having fun!
What keeps you motivated?
Seeing participants leave class with a smile on their face and watching them meet their personal fitness goals.
What is your professional background?
I am a sales executive for an American global courier delivery services company headquartered in Memphis, TN.
Why do you teach at Studio b?
I teach at Studio b because I feel accepted as the person I really am. I honestly look forward to each and every class! Studio b has become like family to me. I will be eternally grateful for the opportunity to teach here.
