May 4, 2020
Dear Studio b Families,
On Friday, May 1, Governor Holcomb announced a "Back on Track" plan for Indiana which includes the staged re-opening of businesses and public gatherings. In order to progress from one stage to the next, the current stage must stay problem-free for 14 consecutive days.
Here's the document that was put together to describe this staged approach: https://backontrack.in.gov/files/BackOnTrack-IN_WhatsOpen-Closed.pdf
We are excited that there is light at the end of the tunnel! Based on the Governor’s roadmap, and the type of services we offer, we will be proceeding with the guidelines that fall under the “Gyms & Fitness” classification. That means that as long as Stage 1 and Stage 2 go smoothly, we will make plans to be back in the studio in line with the Stage 3 timeline (following the Governor’s recommended guidelines). Yay!
Below are some more updates for the remainder of this month.
Recital 2020: “b energized”- Reimagined
The final full week of our Spring Session, May 16 - 22, will be our first ever Virtual Performance Week! This will be an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of your dancer from home. During our regular virtual dance classes, we ask that students put on their costumes, fix their hair, ask family to gather around, join the Zoom class and enjoy the performance!
A potential live recital remains a possibility down the road, as we see how the Governor’s road map plays out statewide. At this point, the recital fee scheduled for May 4 will not be charged (also note the final tuition payment for this session was processed on April 6).
Costumes:
If you did not yet receive your student’s costume, be sure to check your email this week for details on the socially distant drive-through costume pick up that we are planning to begin May 7.
Fitness:
We will continue to provide virtual fitness classes for the time being. If Stage 1 and Stage 2 go as planned, Stage 3 would allow us to be in class together at the studio with certain restrictions in place.
Once again, THANK YOU for your continued support and participation with our virtual classes and changes during this session. We cannot wait to be back in the studio with all our dancers and fitness friends, hopefully soon! Please stay tuned for more updates and know that we will continue to place your health, safety and wellness as our top priority.
Sincerely,
Brooke and the Studio b Staff
